We've decided to step away from the BarYats project and devote ourselves to what we do best

John Lennon said "life is what happens while you are busy making other plans".

We're sad to announce that BarYATS will not open at this time. As much as we love the idea of BarYATS, we're embarking on an aggressive program to pursue franchising YATS instead. According to Gina Vuskovich, President of YATS Restaurants, "While we have invested a year in BarYATS, we've decided to focus on expanding our core YATS concept, one restaurant at a time. This makes more sense to us rather than expanding into the bar business right now - which is really a major departure from our current approach. We're also able to offer beer and wine at our Mass Avenue location for special events, and are considering serving beer and wine at all YATS in the future."

We've invested our lives over the last nine years in building relationships with people and our community. Joe Vuskovich, Founder and CEO of YATS Restaurants puts it best, "It's simple, we like makin' people happy and we're gonna do that by openin' more YATS and servin more etouffee. We know a lot of you will be sad to hear this, but it's the best thing for YATS and all our loyal customers. We're really sorry to disappoint and we love you.

We are in no ways associated with the Pennsylvania location or any restaurant that might open there in the future. We wish our former partner Tom Megenhardt and his crew all the best in the world.
